MONEY REPORTED HARDER TO COLLECT

Collectors employed by the Auckland Electric Bower Board note a decided tendency toward a hardening ot conditions and state that they are not finding consumers able to pay their accounts so readily as in the past. , This was mentioned by the general manager, Mr. K. U. Bartley, in a report to the board. Mr. Bartley reported however, that he did not personally feel thathis position could be very marked. He had not been called upon to deal with a number of extra eases that 'voul'l lead him to form this conclusion. He did not think the position was one that called for any immediate anxiety.
