On Land Forces “As the report of Majo'-General Mackesy is of a secret and confidential nature it would not be in the public Interest to publish it. The Government. therefore, proposes to 'ake no such action.” said the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jones, when rep'vfng tn the House of Representatives vesterday to a question by Mr. Allen (Opposition flauraki). as to whether it was the tn tention of the Government to make public the report of Major-General I’. J. Mackesy, C. 8., D.S.C., M.C., on the land forces of New Zealand.
