Mutton Steady To Firm CHILLED BEEF CHEAPER Lamb market: Tendency a shade easier, with prices of some grades slightly lower. Mutton market: Wethers, firm on the better demand; ewes, steady, prices unchanged. Beef market: Frozen beef, firm, with prices higher; chilled beet, prices this week shade easier. New Zealand porker pigs: Quiet, with prices unchanged. New Zealand baconer pigs: Firmer owing to shortage of supplies. Boneless bobby veal: continues firm on the short stocks. . The above report was received yesterday Uy the Meat Board, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market.
