This Bill is substantia ly the same as the Slaughter of Stock and Inspection of Meat Bill introduced last session and not proceeded with. The Opposition sneakers in the Address-in-Reply debate included Mr Holland (Christchurch North), who said the Goveinment would have to face’up to the realities of the present si nation and change its attitude toward capital. He was follow ed by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. Sul.i van, who re plied to suggestions that restrictions on imports into New Zealand had been responsible for retaliatory action by the United kingdom against exports from the Dominion. ■ The Blouse adjourned at 10.30 p.m. till today.
