DEATH OF BOXER
Former World Champion By Telegraph—Pres& Association. AUCKLAND, .Inly 26. The death occurred this morning of Mr. William Thomas Murphy, aged 77. once champion feather weight boxer of the world, in the Auckland Hospital after a long illness. He lived alone in the Arch Hill district and was a familiar figure about the city till he was taken to hospital several weeks ago. Requiem Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Ponsonby, on Friday morning.
