By Telegraph—-Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 26. Despite wintry weather there was a good attendance of farmers at the Addington stock sale today. The eale was very satisfactory for fat stock. There was a small yarding of store sheep, and all classes, with the exception of old and ragged ewes and rough hoggets, were wanted. A pen of forward ewe hoggets made 17/6, lighter sorts making from 8/-. Best two-tooth wethers made 13/9. The entry of about 6000 fat sheep was the largest for some time. The demand was brisk from the outset, though best wethers eased slightly as the sale progressed. Good ewes, early iu the sale, were 1/- a head dearer, and in the final stages another 2/-. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 41/1 ; prime heavy, 30/to 34/6; prime medium, 25/- to 28/6; light, to 20/6; extra prime heavy ewes, to 31/1; prime heavy, 24/- to 27/6; prime medium, 18/6 to 23/6; light, to 14/6. The fat cattle entrj' was 560. compared with the 420 of last week. The sale opened briskly at the best of last week's rates, and after the first race the improved values were, on the average, better by 10/- to 15/- a head for all the better class cattle and by 10/- for the medium cattle. Extra prime heavy steers made to £2O/2/6: prime heavy. £l5/10/to £l6/15/-; prime medium, £l3/15/- to £l5/5/-; light, to £lO/10/-: extra prime heifers, to £l3/12/6; prime, £lO/10/- to £l2;. medium, £B/5/- to £10: light, to £8; extra prime cows, to £l4/2/6; prime, £B/15/- to £11; medium, £6/15/- to £8 5/-; light, to £6/5/-. Values for porkers over the last two races were a little better than export values. Choppers were in large supply and showed an easing of about 10/- a head. Baconers were forward in med'ttm numbers. Medium to lightweights barely maintained last week's values, and heavy weights were down by about 5/- a head. Porkers made 42/6 to 57/6. an average price a lb. of 7d. to and baconers made 55/6 to £4/13/6, an average price a lb. of 6td. to 6Jd.
