RENUNCIATION OF AMITY TREATY

Senator A. Vandenberg has offered a resolution to the Senate requiring the United States to renounce the 1911 treaty of amity and commerce with Japan and the reconvening of the Brussels Conference of 1937. The Senate will now go into recess to determine -whether Japan is violating the Nine-Power Treaty and whether America should pledge the territorial integrity of China.
