OBITUARY
Mrs. P. H. Shaw . Tin; death occurred in the Masterton Hospital yesterday morning after a short but severe illness of Mrs: Gladys Kathleen, Shaw at the age of 42 years, states a "Dominion” Special Service message. Mrs. Shaw was well known in the district, being associated with a number of organizations. She was a member of the Townswoman’s Guild, the women’s branch of the Labour Party aiid of the committee of the Central School Parents’ Association. At one time she took an active interest in the Walrarapa Caledonian Society, being a member of the social committee. Mrs. Shaw was born in'.Masterton and was the daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. J. B. McKenzie. She is survived by her husband, Mr. P. 11. Shaw, Chapel Street, Masterton, and three children. The funeral will leave the residence tomorrow afternoon. Sister Mary Eagle The death occurred in Napier of Sister Mary Eagle, N.Z.E.F., who was a member of a well-known Hawke's Bay family, says a “Dominion” Special Service message. She was a sister of Mr. F. Eagle, mayor of Waipawa. and of Mr. J. Eagle, Palmerston North. Before her death she was in business in Napier, the firm being known as Eagle and Redstone.
