Derbyshire, 198 (Smith 81; Duffield five for 38) and 194 (Worthington 119; James Langridge five for 3). Sussex won by 13 runs. Glamorgan v. Lancashire, at Cardiff. —Lancashire, 249 and 291 for nine, declared (Paynter 140). Glamorgan, 268 (Wooler 67) and. 191 for five (Woolier 68). Glamorgan won on the first innings. Yorkshire v. Gloucestershire, at Bristol.—Yorkshire, 176 (Goddard six for 61) aud 105 (Goddard seven for 38). Gloucestershire, 168 (Verity seven for 47) aud 114 for three. Gloucestershire won by seven wickets. Hampshire v. Essex, at Southampton. —Essex, ISI (Boyes six for 45) aud 241 for nine, declared. Hampshire, 229 aud 156 (P. Smith live for 38). Essex won by 37 runs. Kent v. Leicestershire, at Tunbridge Wells.—Kent, 190 (Smith five for 52) and 222 for five, declared (Fagg 131). Leicestershire, 166 (Harding five for 31) and 85 (Harding four for 16). Kent won by 161 runs. Nottinghamshire v. Worcestershire, at Nottingham.—Worcestershire, 310 (Palmer 110; Voce five for 72) aud 254 for fire (Cooper 97). Nottinghamshire, 357 (HeaneS2). Nottinghamshire won on the first innings.
M.C.C. v. Oxford University, at Lord’s (two days).—M.C.C., 269 for seven, declared (Edrich 91) and 199. Oxford, 339 for six, declared (Lomas 138). The match was drawn. Surrey v. Cambridge University, at the Oval (two days).—Surrey. 276 (Webster live for 71). Cambridge, 364 (Garris 87). The match was drawn. LANGRIDGE’S FEAT (Independent Cable Service.) LONDON. June 30. James Langridge, bowling for Sussex against Derbyshire, took live wickets .from eleven balls without a run being scored.
