QUIST OFF COLOUR

Australia’s Cup Chances

MEXICO CITY, June 29.

The Australian Davis Cup representative, A. Quist, is up, but is under a doctor’s care, and the doctor will decide tomorrow whether Quist can play against Mexico. The team’s manager, 11. Hopman, said: "We have an even chance of lifting the cup provided we arrive in the challenge round fit and well. Two years ago, when Quist and McGrath were on the sick list, we were deprived of our chance, and Quist's, being off colour' brings back our experience in 1937 too sharply to allow us to feel as confident as we did when we left Australia.”
