Tho American Senate has approved an appropriation of 340,000 dollars for an Antarctic expedition. It is hoped Dial the Monse, of Representatives, 'despite two previous rejections, may approve t he Senate’s measure. The House was recently advised that Germany is about to send an expedition to the Antarctic to establish territorial claims.
