THE LEAGUE IN 1938
“The League from Year to Year (1938),” An annual review of League of Nations activities issued by the Information Section, Geneva.
This review of last year’s activities of the League of Nations is a useful political and international handbook, besides serving its a reminder that the failure of the .League as a medium for the settlement of tho major disputes as between nations has not put an end to Its usefulness. Set out in book form the programme of the year 1938 is by no means an unimpressive one. It embraces legal and constitutional questions, the work of the Permanent Court of International Justice, work ou publicity directed toward the reduction and limitation of armaments, political questions, mandates, intellectual cooperation, economic and financial work, social questions, health organization, communications and transport, the opium und refugee problems, and a number of miscellaneous subjects.
