Rather better fields than usual will parade at the annual meeting of the Dannevirke Hunt Club, to be held on the Dannevirke racecourse today. Like all hunting meetings, a lot of the horses are unknown to the general public. In the flat events most of the acceptors hate iecently raced. There are also one or two Trentham candidates down to compete, including Mataroa. The Dannevirke track never gets really heavy, but the going will probably be a bit soft on top. Betting will be single P °The only bracket on the card is The Ring and Inheritance, in the Greenhills Hack. The following horses may be supported in their engagements : — Oringi Hurdles.—Master Hector and Liberal Star. Takapau Novice. —Kaiwaka and Cherry Picker. Hunt Cup Steeples.—Blue Tiger and Given. Rakaiatai Hack. —Quilp and Royal Tinge. Kaitoke Handicap.—Mataroa and Granvale. Akitio Bracelet.—lnheritance and Gladium. Greenhills Hack Cup.—Seyfried and Morning Flight."
