MR. McKEEN’S POSITION
Appointed Chairman Of
Committees
'The appointment of Mr. R. McKeon, Government member for Wellington South, as Chairman of Committees, was formally made in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr. McKeen’s appointment was moved bv the acting-Leader of the House, Mr. Fraser, who said he had had the necessary experience and abil ity to fill the office with distinction He was congratulated by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Hamilton, and in reply briefly returned thunks.
