Rollend Kirehtneyer tonight beat Ignacio Martinez by one fall in a professional wrestling match, which attracted a big crowd. Kirehmeyer’s fall came from a python clutch, to which Martinez submitted. The bout was of lower standard than the earlier ones this season, and was marred by too much showmanship. CLARKE DISQUALIFIED Match In Hawera Against Blom field By Telegraph—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 28. Disqualified in the seventh round for persistent use of the stranglehold, Jim (Dazzler) Clarke, 16.7, lost a boiit wi'h Lofty Blomlield, 16.8, in Hawera tonight before the largest house in the history- of the Hawera Wrestling Association. Clarke took a fall in the third round after a backloop slam and Blomlield evened in the sixth with an octopus clamp. McCready beats lever By Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI. June 28. Earl McCready beat Dick Lever tonight with a fall in the sixth round, Lever being unable to continue. Though not up to the standard of McCready, Lever put. up a good fight and the bout was full of interest. After being warned at the start of the sixth round for jabbing a knee into his opponut’s face, Lever repeated it, and McCready came in and, after a series of forearm jolts to the body and face, dumped him heavily three times and secured a fall with a press. Lever was unable to come back and was removed to the dressing-room after receiving medical attention.
