BRITAIN TIRED OF BROWBEATING
Forthright Comment ADDRESS BEFORE AXIS ATTACHES By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received June 20, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 20. Lord Londonderry, speaking at the anniversary of the HandleyPage Aviation Company, which was attended by Italian, German, and Japanese air attaches, urged Britain to tell aggressor countries that if they are out for trouble Britain is quite prepared to fight.
“1 would like to see the doctrine advanced that we are not an easygoing people, but are tired of the browbeating we are getting from the totalitarians,” he said. “If we had a full-blooded doctrine from the Government we would find Italy and Germany anxious for our friendship.”
