Petone And Lower Hut Board Meeting The. secretary of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board, .Mr. O. bilbury, reported to the-board at the. monthly meeting last, night that 239 Government houses had been fitted with gaslighting appliances during the month. The chairman, Mr. J. Cumming, presided, and there were also present Messrs. A Scholefield, H. V. Holor, A. Al. Macfarlane, H. Burrell and AV. 11. Edwards. The secretary reported that 94 meters had been changed during the month, 54 in Lower Hutt and 40 in Petone. Twentynine new meters had been installed, IS in Lower Hutt and 11 in Petone. Twentytwo new services had been put in. 11 in Lower Hutt and 11 in Petone. The works foreman, Mr. J. Adams, reported that 13,553.000 cubic feet of gas had been manufactured during the month, being an increase of 2,068,000 cubic feet over last month. Ltd., was accepted for a supply of purifier covers.
