Wellington Market Weak
LITTLE INTEREST SHOWN
No improvement anti little change of any sort were seen in the Wellington stock and share market yesterday. Business was dull, and the recorded turnover restricted. Government stocks were out of favour, the few issues quoted being barely steady. Sellers were prominent iu the local body debenture section. Banks showed an easier tendency. Commercial of Australia, ordinary, were wanted at 15/10, and the preference issue was quoted at £9/7/6, sellers £9/12/6. New Zealand ordinaries were on offer at 39/-, and buyers quoted 26/4 for the D mortgage issue. Unions were lower at £< 18/-, sellers £7/19/6. Union Steam preference firmed to 2.j/without drawing sellers. Other industrial issues were dull, few Australians being quoted. Australian Consolidated Industries were lower at 37/3, and Colonial Sugars fvere marked down to £4B/7/6, sellers £49.
