Views Of Chairman Of Waikanae Branch The opinion that far too many supporters of the National Party, as well as some who bad the say in framing and announcing the party policy and platform, had one idea only—that of opposition to the Labour Party—was expressed by Mr. P. H. G. Bennett, who presided at the annual meeting of the Waikanae branch of the National Party, held recently. Too few of them appeared to be doing anything for the party, said Air. Bennett. Brown ; executive committee, Messrs. T. G. Campion, R. H. Monk, H. N. Burgess, G. H. Field, W. E. Collins, L. H. Port, H. Derham and P. Jones; ladies’ committee, Mesdames G. A. Monk, A. Greig, H. N. Burgess, Misses E. Jones, E. Higginson, P. Wilson, J. Brown. Meeting Of Bays Branch A meeting of the Bays branch of the New Zealand National Party was held in Eastbourne recently, and attended by residents of Lowry, Mahina and York Bays. Mr. C. W. Budd presided, and a review 7 of the progress made by the National Party was given by Mr. Cheviot Bell. Mr. C. 11.
