First Defeat Of U.S.A. In 25 Years (Received June 19, 7.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, June IS. The Australian polo player, Bob Skene, scored five goals for the English team, which defeated the Americans for the first time since 1914, winning the last of the international series by 16-14, aided by a ten-goal handicap. Skene scored the last goal with two minutes remaining, his 40-yard drive thwarting the Americans’ dcseperate attempt to tie with a score of 15-all.
