JUNIOR CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE
Convention May Be Held WELLINGTON BODY’S FIRST ANNUAL MEETING The possibility of a convention of junior chambers of commerce being held in Wellington during the exhibition period was mentioned by Mr. L. M. Entiug at the first annual meeting of the Wellington Junior Chamber of Commerce last night. The chairman, Mr. C. J. McGibbon, said members of the junior division would be able to attend the business sessions of the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand in Wellington in November, which should be a worthwhile experience.
Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, the chairman thanked those who had assisted the formation of the junior chamber of commerce and said that the efforts of Mr. H. C. Sidford, the first chairman, who was transferred to Dunedin in October, were greatly appreciated. The president of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Captain S. Holm, said that some members of the junior chamber would be disappointed that the past year had not produced greater results, but a long time was required to achieve much. Matters which the senior chamber had had in hand before the junior chamber was created were still not concluded. Members of the senior chamber took a great interest in the activities of the junior chamber, which was the largest junior chamber in New Zealand. ' The following were declared elected members of the board: Mr. C. J. MacGibbon, chairman, ex-officio, Mr. L. M. Enting, deputy-chairman, Messrs. N. V. Brewerton, N. I. Curtis, H. J. Eaton, N. J.
