Public Meeting To Be Held In Wellington / Important aspects of the defence of New Zealand, a subject looming large in the public mind because of the disturbed International situation, will be considered when a public meeting is held in the Town Hall, Wellington, at 8 p.m. next Wednesday. The speaker will be Mr. Perry, M.L.C., and ho will deal with various angles of the situation abroad and the defence needs of New Zealand. The meeting is being convened by the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Defence League, Which within recent months has- given increasing attention to Dominion defence. The league has been actively engaged for some time past in stressing the need for greater public interest in defence requirements, and has taken a prominent part In stimulating recruiting.
