destiny iu the Russell-Cot.es Navigation School, founded by Lord Jellieoe and one of the institutions operated by the Baf' nardo Homes. Bartholomew plays this role of tI)C boy who finds new lite, with Rooney as a student petty ollicer whom he lirst hates, then comes to admire, and _m whom in- finds his lirst real friemHnp. Intimate glimpses of life in the training school, the annual navy cutter race. am. otlu r thrills are mingled with the comedy and drama of the story, which culminates when the boys graduate and win berths on tlie lim-r Queen Mary. "( barley Chan in Honolulu" and “Down on the Farm." Beginning next Wednesday, the State Thealre will change its programmes-, on Wednesdays instead of on Fridays. The two pictures which will open a season next Wednesday are “Charlie Chan in Honolulu” and “Down on the Farm,” which features the Jones family.
