Attitude Of Foresters’ Order MEDICAL SERVICES Tiie Social Security Act was lite chief topic discussed at the annual conference of Hie Wellington District Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society, held in Wellington this week. The District Chief Ranger, Bro. H. Boniface, presided. A report was received from Bro. L. •I. Retallick, who attended as a member of the emergency committee of the Dominion Council of Friendly Societies when that committee met in consultation with Mr. Nash, tiie Minister in Charge of Social Security. Following the report, it was resolved:— “That this meeting of delegates of the Wellington District A.O.F. supports Hie resolution adopted at tiie recent biennial session of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand Independent Order of Oddfellows, that the medical services as embodied in the Social Security Act. could and should be handled through the machinery provided by the various friendly societies operating throughout the Dominion, and that: a copy of this motion be forwarded to the Prime .Minister.”
