Ministerial. The Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, will leave Wellington for Auckland by the Limited express tonight. He will accompany the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, on his inspection of manufacturing industries in the Auckland district. Mr. Parry will return to Wellington on Monday.

Sir Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C., travelled from Wellington to Christchurch yesterday by air. Sir Julien Cahn, who has been visiting New Zealand with his team of cricketers, and Lady Cahn, will leave Auckland by the Niagara for Vancouver today.

Mr. H. W. Shove, Auckland, is visiting Wellington.

Mr. F. W. Milne arrived at Wellington yesterday from. Auckland. Mr. A. K. North arrived at Wellington from Auckland yesterday. Mr. A. M. Seaman was an arrival at Wellington hy the Limited express from Auckland yesterday. Mr. E. G. Bridgens, Auckland, was a passenger for Wellington yesterday by the Limited, express.

Mr. E. J. Herrick, Napier, travelled south from Wellington last night by the steamer express.

The Hon. E. R. Davis, M.L.C., who entered Bowen Street Hospital last Wednesday, is making satisfactory progress.

Mr. F. P. Walsh, national president of the Federated Seamen’s Union of New Zealand, returned to Wellington from Auckland by train yesterday. The town clerk of Wellington, Mr. E. P. Norman, is expected to arrive at Auckland from California during the first week of April. Mr. G. McNamara, director-general of the Post and Telegraph Department, left Wellington last night for the South Island.

Mr. Stronach Paterson, ’ managing director of A. S. Paterson and Company, Ltd., - was a passenger to Auckland by air from Wellington yesterday.

Mr. G. L. Laurenson, Commissioner of Transport, was a passenger for the south last night by the steamer express.

Mr. Walter Norwood, general manager of the Dominion Motors, Limited, accompanied by Mrs. Norwood, will leave by the Awatea on a busiuess-trip to Sydney.

Mr. B. J. Moyle has been reappointed for a further term of two years a member of the Canterbury Land Board. The appointment is made by the Gov-ernor-General. Mr. J. W. Collins, formerly New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Canada and the United States, and Mrs. Collins, who have been visiting Auckland, returned to Wellington by the Limited express yesterday. The Very Rev. Father Herbert Doyle, 0.F.M., who has been apostolic visitor to the Franciscan order in Australia and New Zealand, and his secretary, Rev. Father Roger Moloney, 0.F.M., are returning by the Niagara today from Auckland to their headquarters in Glasgow. Mr. John Farrell, of J. C. Williamson Theatres’ touring staff, has returned from the south to Auckland, where he will make arrangements for the appearance of tho American company which will present Clare Boothe's play “The Women.” A little later on Mr. and Mrs. Farrell will leave for Sydney on holiday. Mr. R. J. Larkin, who has been with the legal firin of Rothwell aud Reid, Lower Hutt, for two years, leaves this wee’k to begin practice lu Matamata. The Lower Hutt lawyers farewelled him at a gathering at which Mr. L. P. Barrett, on their behalf, presented Mr. Larkin with a desk set. Mr. Larkin was president of the New Zealand University Students’ Association in 1935 and won the Plunket medal for oratory that year. He has been prominently associated with the Wellington Repertory Society and the Thespians, having taken important, character parts in various plays, one of which is now being presented. In his student day s ho was a keen Rugby player.
