Rangitikei To Play Hawke’s
Bay In Final Dominion Special Service. FEILDING, March 20. The Savile Cup polo tournament opened today, four teams competing for the cup, Cambridge, Alatangi, Hawke’s Bay, and Rangitikei. This afternoon Cambridge met Rangitikei, and a fine game resulted, Rangitikei beating the cup holders by five goals to four. The outstanding pjayers of the winning team were MeKelvie and Hamish Wilson. In the Cambridge leant -Nolan was the only player to produce form. Both sides had good ponies. The' second game was lietween Hawke's Bay and Matangi, Hawke’s Bay winning by eight goals to four, proving definitely superior. This team was a very even combination, playing as a team and proving superior in tactics throughout. Rangitikei will play Hawke’s Bay in the final.
