♦ Family Of Twelve’s Loss By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 20. A seven-roomed wooden house in McKenzie Road. Mangcre, owned and occupied by Mr. D. Ferguson, was destroyed by lire this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson and their family of 10 lost all their personal effects. The outbreak was discovered by Mrs. Ferguson while she was in the garden attending to washing drying on the line. The flames were breaking through the washhouse to the inner rooms when Mrs. Ferguson rushed inside and carried her 14-month-oid child from the house. The house was insured for £lOOO with the New Zealand Insurance Company and the furniture for £250 with the samp office.
