LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Johnsonville Meeting The Johnsonville branch of the League of Mothers held its first meeting for the year in (he Masonic Hall, Brook Street. Mrs. Hogg presided and extended a warm welcome Io all visitors, including the glee club from the Ngaio branch, which gave some delightful items. Mrs. Wiltnau sang two Solos which were much appreciated, and she was presented with a bouquet. Mrs. Hogg introduced (he speaker. Mrs. Tate, president of the Borstal committee, who gave an interesting account of the work done by Iha I body. Mrs. Tate was presented with a bouquet and Mrs. Mcßride thanked her mi behalf of all present. The thought for the month, “Let ns be what we are and speak what we think, keep ourselves loyal to truth, and the sacred professions of friendship,” was given by .Mrs. McLennan The singing of Hie National Autheru and serving of afternoon tea brought a pleasant afternoon to :i close.
