REUNION DINNER
Wellington Old Girls' Association There is a quality of pleasurable excitement about, a reunion which no other gathering quite achieves, and it was very much in evidence last night at the annual dinner of the Wellington Girls’ College Old Girls’ Association. The Royal Oak Hotel was the rendezvous, and the tables and Hie lounge had been decorated for the occasion with bowls of asters. The guests were received by Mrs. IV. O. Urquhart, president of the association, who was wearing a graceful goiwn of gold brocade on a background of maroon. In the official party were Mrs. Urquhart, Miss V, M. Greig (former headmistress), Miss E. SI. North (headmistress). Miss F. B. Kershaw. Miss G. S. Gibson and Miss R. Ward (former members of the staff), and Mrs. Binning (president of the M elliugton Mast Girls’ College Old Girls Association). Mrs. Urquhart proposed the toast of the King. Miss Greig proposed ’’The j School,” and Miss North, who is also an old girl, replied. Miss Urquhart replied to the toast of the Gid Girls’ Association, which was proposed by Miss Gibson. Miss Ward proposed a toast to kindred associations, and Mrs. Binning replied. “Absent Friends” was proposed by Miss Kershaw. During Hie evening the school song was sung to the accompaniment, ol Miss Yolande Bitossi.
