HOSPITAL PATIENTS MISS EARLY TEA
He hud been bombarded with eotnplaints from patients because early morning tea had been cut out. said the Rev. H J. Usher, at a meeting of the Wellington Hospital Board last night. Mr A. W. Croskery said that years ago the board had resolved thai no patient should be wakened before 7 a.m. for washing or tea. Recently lie luul found that patients were being wakened and lie had given itisirucl ions tli.-ir il must cease. He was not jiware. however, that Hie tea had been ent out. Mr. I'sln-r said that apparently it was impossible for the staff to carry out tin- necessai'y duties and also serve lea between 7 o'clock and breakfast time. Snine of the patients wanted the early tea. It wa.- decided to obtain a report from the superintendent.
