OPTICIANS’ CONFERENCE

The close relationship between the teeth in certain septic conditions and the eyes was explained by Mr. 11. S. Wilkinson, 8.D.5., in an address yesterday at the annual conference of the Institute of Opticians of New Zealand. Usin« diagrams and slides Mr. Wilkinson traced the effect of dental decay from its inception to the .stage where it entered the bloodstream to travel to other parts of the body, including the eyes. Keen interest was taken in the address. Mr. Wilkinson was accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of Mr. E. A. Sargent, seconded by Mr. A. H. T. Hose. in the afternoon two addresses were given, one by Mr. I!. C. Bailey entitled “Something About Migraine,” and the other by Mr. E. R. Boyd, “The Evolu.tion of Astigmatic Oharta.”
