TWO FIREMEN HURT
Blaze In Auckland Factory By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 23. Two firemen were hurt and a third narrowly escaped injury in lighting a lire which broke out at Hie Taupo Timber Co.’s factory at Newmarket early this morning. As a result of the tire-lighters’ efforts the blaze was quickly suppressed, and the main building and big stocks of timber in an adjoining yard were saved. The firemen injured were I’. Gavin and D. Randall, who received cuts from falling glass. The tire was discovered by a constable. Its origin was in a boiler-house at tlie rear of lite factory, where a liopper of dry shavings ignited.- More limn 1.000.000 feet of timlter are stored immediately behind the scene of the lire.
