Dr. and Mrs. William Young, Miss Catherine Young, and Dr. and Mrs.' Alistair Young, Wellington, are visitors to Christchurch. Dr. W. Young and his son are attending the medical conference there. Lady Myers, Wellington, accompanied Sir Michael Myers ,on a visit to Invercargill. ;; Miss Sadie Paul, Wanganui, is on a motor tour of the North Island. Returned Home Mrs. Harry Watkins, New Plymouth, has returned from a visit to the South Island. Mrs. J. R. C. Smith has returned to Patea from a five weeks’ visit to her mother in Wellington. Dr. Maud Fere has returned to Christchurch from Wellington. Mrs. J. H. H. Hill, who has been visiting Dunedin, has returned to Wanganui. Miss Cicely George, of the staff of the Meinorail Hospital, Hastings, has returned home from holiday in Picton. Returned To Wellington Miss Estelle Beere, Hill Street, has returned to Wellington after three months spent in Rotorua, Taupo and Auckland. Makara Anglican Fellowship The first meeting for the season of the Makara Anglican Fellowship was held recently in the Parish Hall. There j was a fair attendance of members. i The secretary, Mrs. Bowen, reported ' that the erection -of the traffic gates 1 to the church had been completed, and I the drive had been weeded and straightened. The meeting decided to have the grounds cleaned and to purchase chemicals for the eradication of periwinkle, which is spreading into the grounds. Members are looking forward to, a busy and interesting year’s work.
