Bradley New Champion Of Champions WELLINGTON SINGLES Playing excellently throughout the competition. G. H. Bradley (Lyall Bay) yestenluv won the singles championship ot the Wellington Bowling Centre. The contest was held on the Kel'burn clubs green, which was in splendid order. The weather was perfect. The games in most cases were keen and interesting, with some very fine displays of accurate drawing. The runner-up was J. R. Smith (Kelburn). At the conclusion of the afternoon, Mr. W. Gilbert, former president of the Wellington centre, who deputized for the president, Mr. M. J. WELLINGTON Annual Intercentre Games The annual games between the Wellington Bowling Centre and the Mauawatu Bowling Centre were held on the Wellington Bowling Club’s greens yesterday afternoon, the home players winning by 61 points on the aggregates. Mr. M. J. Casey, president of the •Wellington centre; welcomed the visitors, aud Mr. J. A. Nash, president of the Manawatu centre, replied on their behalf. Each team consisted of 16 fours, l each four of, the visiting team being drawn from one of the Manawatu clubs. • The results are as follows, the names of the 'Wellington skips being mentioned first: O'Donnell 25. BOWLERS’ WEEKEND TRIP After a break of some years nine fours of bowlers representing the Wellington Bowling Centre paid a visit to Marlborough at the weekend. Eighteen games

in all were played, the visitors winning on the aggregate by 404 points to 401. The visitors were welcomed by the president of the Marlborough centre, Mr. A. J. H. Gavin, who remarked that the party ineluded some distinguished bowlers, among them Mr. K. I. Cross, the English singles champion, and his father, Mr. M. J. Casey, president of the Wellington centre and vice-president of the New Zealand council. Mr. Stanley Stone, utt old friend of Marlborough bowlers.’ Mr. Porter, a past president of the Newtown club, and Mr. F. J. -Spiller, secretary of the 'Wellington Bowling Chib.
