INFERIOR SUNGLASSES
Comment On Increasing Use There wits no doubt that the increasing use of inferior sunglasses merited tlie attention of the institute, said tlie president of the Institute of Opticians of New Zealand, Mr. B. Brooke-Taylor, at tlie institute’s annual meeting last night. The flaws and imperfections in the lens of inferior glasses caused more strain and discomfort than any relief afforded by glare prevention, lie said. It was a point to be considered whether the institute should ask the Government to exercise some check on the quality of all sunglasses imported into the country. If restriction of imports was to be applied to those goods, then it was to be hoiied that it would be directed against the injurious glasses.
