SCHOOLGIRLS' PLAY
Three young Wellington schoolgirls who have been spending their holidays at Onga Onga, Hawke's Bay, gave a clever little entertainment recently in aid of the local Plunket Society. This is the third time they have given an entertainment for the same cause, and on this occasion it took the form of a variety show and a one-act tragedy, both being very well staged. The performance took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tui Bibby, where the girls have been staying, and after it supper was served and a dance Ireld. The three girls, assisted by Miss Davies and Miss Elsie Burkin, who contributed songs, deserve great credit for a well-balanced programme. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Bibby, Mr. and Mrs. F. Daniels, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Smuts-Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Tui Bibby, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Gray. Mrs. Haldane, Misses J. Buchanan, F. Buchauan, Mr. A. Wilmot. Mr. R. Whitworth, Mr. W. Macfarlane; also Margot Daniels, Marion Daniels and Michael Bibby.
