By permission of Mr. and Mrs. B. Sutherland, the Port Nicholson Silver Band has organized a garden party at “Homewood,” Homewood Avenue, Huron, which will open at 1.30 o’clock this afternoon. Judges for a childrens fancy dress parade, for which a long and splendid list of prizes has been offered, will be Mrs. B. Sutherland and Mrs. Victor Lloyd. A dance recital will be given by pupils of Miss Adelino Burnette, and a bathing beauty parade will be held to select “Miss Homewood,” who will receive a silver cup and a cheque.
