Offerings at the wool sales today were 8267 bales, including 4532 bales New Zealand, and 7726 were sold. A good selection met with a brisk and ready sale. , ~- • The home trade section was bidding Strongly for New’ Zealand crossbreds, of which there was an excellent clearance at full recent rates. . The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office under date January 215:—The wool sales continue with a' brisk market. Late rates are being fully maintained. Onions: Victorian, brown, £27 a ton: South Australian, white. £24 a ton ; New Zealand, brown, £23 to £2S a ton. Maize, 5/2 a bushel.
