JUNIOR TENNIS
Nominations For Team To Australia -
The secretary of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. H. N. Burns, said yesterday that 14 boys had been nominated for places in the junior team, which is to go to Australia next month and compete in the Junior Age Championships, starting in Sydney about the end of February.
The boys nominated are A. S. Burns, B. Brown. O. Satchel! (Auckland), S. Painter, R. McKenzie, B. Kelly, J. E. Walker (Wellington), R. Secord, P. W. Murdoch, R. J. Donkin (Canterbury), Alan M. Johns (Mannwatu), R. Forsyth (Marlborough), J. Smith, B. Leech (North Auckland). The team, which is to comprise four bovs, will be selected by Mr. J. A. McGill. Mr. W. J. Melody, and Dr. A. E. Park. It will leave New Zealand about the middle of February and return about the middle of March. The members are required to be under j() years of age oil February 20. Each member of the team will be required to contribute £l5 toward his expenses.
