Staff Changes Announced By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, January 26. Several important changes in the administrative staff of the Lands and Survey Department have been made because of the retirement of Mr. R. A. Rodger, land purchase inspector, Wellington. His successor will be Mr. IV. D. Armit, Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland land district. Mr. Armit was appointed chief draughtsman in New Plymouth in 1923 and was later promoted to be Commissioner of Crown Lands and chief surveyor for the Taranflkl district. He was appointed Commissioner of Crown Lands and chairman of the North Auckland Land Board in 1933. Mr. Armit will take up his new duties in Wellington on February 1. Mr. L. J. Poff, chief surveyor in Christchurch, has been appointed Commissioner of Crown Lands in North Auckland. Mr. Poff was formerly chief draughtsman in Auckland. Mr. W. E, Shaw, chief accountant in Wellington, has been appointed Commissioner of Crown Lands In Dunedin, and ills position will be filled by Mr. G. L Beeson, of the North Auckland office.
