‘PARADE OF LAUGHTER’

Revue Entertainment Will Mahoney, the prince of fun as well as master of an unusual number of variety turns, and the rest of Frank Neil’s revue company, again delighted a large crowd at the Grand Opera House last night in “The Parade of Laughter,” the company's second show. It will be offered for two more nights, with a matinee on Saturday. Comedy, presented inimitably by Will Mahoney, Violet Carlson, whom Wellington people took to their hearts for her ‘‘Balalaika” and “Desert Song” performances, and others, tops the bill but there is much besides. Will Mahoney is a splemlid fap dancer, and his dance on the xylophone is an amazing climax. Miss Carlson's drollery and mischief belong to her alone. In addition the company is particularly strong in vocalists with the chic Mvie Hayes at the head. Tex Morton, the yodelling cowboy, and other performers swell the entertainment, which is rich in variety turns such as the skilful whistling and bird-call imitations of Johnny Bryant. The ballet is charming and the dancing graceful. In “The Flower Shop,” led by Dome Ricketts, they are seen at their best.
