The body of Eri Ilapeta Hematin, aged 39, married, and the mother of three children, wa.s discovered this afternoon lying in some scrub near rhe Atiamuri Road, about live miles from Rotorua. The woman’s throat had been slashed with a razor which was lying near tlie body. Tlie discovery was made by a Maori girl. Ngatai Maka, who immediately communicated with the police. The woman resided in a house about ,20 chains from where the body was found. A note apparently left by the dead woman was discovered in the house.
