Holland, M.P. for Christchurch North, arrived at Wellington yesterday. Mr. G. R. Ritchie, Dunedin, was a passenger in last night’s steamer express to Lyttelton. Mr. C.| J. Talbot, Fairlie, arrived at Wellington by yesterday’s Lyttelton steamer.
Mr. I'l, it. Myers, director of pharmacy, left Wellington for Auckland last night on business concerning the pharmacy plan district committee.

Lawrence, Johnsonville, is visiting Palmerston North to preside fft the annual meeting of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry. Mr. C. S. Luiiey, president ot the Canterbury Builders’ Association, is visiting Wellington for meetings of the Conciliation Council. Dr. C. Osborne Hutton, petrologist to the New Zealand Geological Survey, has returned to Wellington, lie lias been, carrying out geological work in Southland nm| Central Otago. Mr. Walter Russell-Wood, Dunedin, lias accepted an engagement to visit Victoria under the auspices of the ’Teachers’ Association, ami will adjudicate the elocutionary classes at the Bendigo festival in May.
