Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorologic: Office', Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. today:— An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity lies eentrally over the North Island and a shallow depression is crossing the South Islnnd. Conditions are disturbed i
the western Tasman Sen. , . , , ~, ~ ~,...... The forecnst is for moderate to strong north-westerly winds about Look Sire r, elsewhere mainly light to fresh and rnther vnriable with westerly preuominat-
ing, but with sea breezes along the east const. , Seas rather rough to rough at times in the south Taranaki Bight and about Loo, and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere slight to moderate. Light and variable winds witli slight seas in the northern portion of the eastern Tasman Sen, but fresh winds between south-west and north-west predominating in the southerfl portion with rather rough sens. Weather for the most part fair to fine, but rather unsettled in western and southern areas of the South Islnnd with occasional rain. Temperatures nnld to warm.
