Miramar And Eastern Suburbs Society

The Miramar and Eastern Suburbs Horticultural Society held its midsummer flower show recently. Because of the unfavourable weather during the growing season, gladioli were not ready tor show in great numbers, but some good blooms were exhibited. The show was successful. however, and competition was keen. The trophy winners were:—New Zealand Gladiolus Society’s bronze medal for premier bloom, all gladiolus classes, Mr A Jackson; champion bloom, amateur, Mr. J. S. Vickers champion bloom, novice, Mr. C. F. Terris; L. Poiuton Memorial Cup, Mr. J. S. Vickers; 1. U. and D. Bilby Cup. Mr. J. S. Vickers; Mrs. J. Flaus’s trophy, Mr. A. Bean; most points, gladiolus, amateur, Mr. J.
