Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., received cable advice from their London house as follows:—The sales continued before a large attendance of buyers. Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of January 24:—At yesterday's auction of 2.750,0G61b.. nil grades were in keen demand. Prices advanced Sd. a lb. for good quality teas, about id. for medium kinds, while common teas were very firm nt last week's rates. A total of 1,500.0001 b. has been catalogued for sale next week.
