PLEA FOR RECRUITS IN CANADA
WINNIPEG, January 24. Major-General E. C. Ashton, the retiring Chief of the Canadian General .Staff, declared that in the event of war no doubt the Canadian coasts would be subject to attack, most likely by shipborne aircraft. He appealed to employers to do more to encourage enlistment and military training.
