W. B. Reilly Does 69 At Shandon GOOD SCORING AT HUTT Perfect -conditions prevailed for golf during -the weekend, when the absence of wind wat) appreciated. Courses were in excellent order, and some good scoring was done. W. IS. Reilly, runner-up for the New Zealand'! amateur championship last year, covered the Shandon course in 69 yesterday. his figures being four -strokes better than the standard scratch score. Shandon Club A dual medal competition played at Shandon on Saturday resulted in a win for A L. Smith and R. 'Williamson, .with a net total of 151. A bogey event was won ,by J. Low, a up, the runner-up being J. E. Nicolaus, 3 up. ... . A fourball -bogey resulted in ties between M Fossey and K. IV. Macleod, and T. J.' Gallagher and A. L. Smith, a up. Hutt Club -Scoring on the Hutt links at the weekend, despite the fact that all members are playing on bogey handicap as stroke handicap for the summer months, reflected the excellent condition of the course. On Saturday a sta-bleford was played, and resulted in a win for W. L. Parsons. 36-5-41. Parsons, who normally plays on a 9 handicap, earded a 74 off the stick. Then came D. L. Irwin. 32-6-38; 8. L. Tavlor. 35-2-37; R. D- M raight, 31-o-3b. A stableford competition was also played yesterday, and resulted in a win for D. Swift, with 34-4-38. Then enrne JJ. L. Irwin. 39-6-36; G. M. Frazer. 2,-8-,-..); 11. J. Porter. 26-9-35; K. B. Lockett. 25-7-32. Wellington Club The final of the Wellington dub’s championship will be played over 36 holer) on Sunday next between A. U. 8. Dunean and !>• 11. Graham.
