LONDON, January IS.

The Australian Associated Press says that the Empire Beef Council has drafted a tentative scheme for the control of mutton and lamb imports which will be submitted to the Dominions with a request for their views upon it. The council has expressed its willingness to revise the plan if necessary before submitting it to the Board of Trade. Also, the restrictions will be imposed only when they are essential.

The council is to meet on January 19 when it is expected that' the replies from the Dominions will have been received.
