The day was beautifully fine, with a strong 'northerly wind which at times took control of the balls, making break play practically impossible. The Pollock Stars are still held by the Island Bay players, Mesdames Green and Francis 'The recent match against Mesdames Boek and King (Hutt) was even all through. Toward the finish Mrs. Bock failed in attempting to peg out the opponents’ ball. Mrs. Green picked up the snot and pegged Mrs. Bock’s ball out. At tjiat stage Mrs. King had four points to score. This allowed Mesdames Green and Francis to finish the game 26-22. The next challenge will be played today against Mesdames Sargisson and Galvin' (Ngaroma). Mrs. Rolfe (Kelburu) will refreee. Association Ferns. The Association Ferns have again changed hands and have now gone to Seatoun. Mesdames Neilson and Davis represented the Seatoun club. The long shooting of Mrs. Neilson was outstanding, and Mrs. Furness (Ngaio) was not playing up to her usual standard. The final score was 26-22. The referee was Mrs. Robertson.

McKenzie Cups. The McKenzie Gups are still held by the Seatoun club. Mesdames Morrison and Oldfield have proved a very formidable pair, having held the cups since the start of the season. Their opponents on this occasion, Mesdames Creeke and Spiller (Kelburu), made a good' score, the game ending 26-21 in favour of Seatoun. Mrs, Monks (Woburn) refereed. The next club to challenge is Lyall Bay. Mesdames Beard and Martin will represent the club, and the game will be played •next Wednesday at 1.30.
